This is an eye of a fish called "LICHE". Catched this morning in the net of a fisherman at Saint Mandrier (south of France, Mediterranean sea)
Lengh: more than one meter.

Louis, As is usually the case with this type of photo I find myself peering into the eye looking for the camera guy!! I believe I see you in there in what looks like your fingers clutching the camera.. Nice one for this close!

Well captured. The fishermen must have thought you to be crazy. The image has been captured well, and you will find it difficult not to ger your reflection in the eye.

Excellent image.
There are some very unique colours in this shot.
I also like how well the slimy surface can be seen without losing the detail such as the veins on the left of the eye.
