Not summer yet

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
At the edge of the dune a colony of swallows is digging holes to give homes to their breed.
They are very tiny and leightweight. Due to the mostly heavy winds blowing from the Atlantic the parent swallows rush up and down the beaches to catch flies that are attracted by rotting rests of algae and small crabs. It is very difficult to catch these birds with a camera and took me one hour to achieve three acceptable shots. In my country there is a saying: One swallow alone does not bring the summer yet. If I look out of the window it needs many swallows. Dark grey sky and 15 degrees in the middle of August 2005. Come on swallows! |

Hi Thomas,
I know that this is very difficult to capture these birds and I want to congratulate you.
In my opinion, the background lacks of colors.
The sharpness is excellent and you perfectly managed the depth of field.
Bravo !
Amicalement,
Michaël
