[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This bird belongs to a protected species in France. Cormorans are very awkward in the air, their wings seem to be very inefficient and their maneuverability is very limited (large turn radius). On the opposite, they are extremely good swimmers and agile in water, where they prey on fish. They live in colonies and can be observed easily while resting or drying their wings, always in the same trees (some trees are better suited for them to land I guess).

This photo was taken at sunset. The right wing was reflecting the light while the bird was banked in a left turn. Enjoy !
