A very interesting shot. I would be tempted to try a tall skinny crop of all the intertwining necks.

This is a VERY interesting intertwining of necks and shapes, forming a strong triangle that arrests and holds the eye.
Lighting conditions were against you. Try at least ISo 400, f8, and expose at -0.7 EV.
The best is to shoot the swans on the water, in the same light, look at the picture, and establish whether you need to up or down the EV to suit the light and the subject. Light change constantly, so you must adjust for this.
