[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Provence, in the South of France, is a very pleasant region to stay. There is a meditarian climate
and the landscape differs a lot from east to west and from north to south. You will find capricious rocks, fashionable beaches, interesting rivers as the Rhone which end up in the Camarque, a rough and desolate protected nature area.

On one of our day trips, in the neighbourhood of Salernes, we saw small plates signposted "Cascade" which means waterfall. The landscape was a bit flat and we expected almost nothing. We parked the car and after a half an hour walk we entered a fairy-like surrounding. This was very surprising.
I was not carrying a tripod and happily there was a branch of a tree, which I used to get a slow shutter-time for the required effect of the water.

Nice shot. I like the effect of the slow shutter speed. What a lovely surprise this cascade must have been. Finding a waterfall here in western Oregon would not be a challenge. There are more than 3000 named waterfalls in Oregon! Yours is a beauty. TFS

Hey Ruud,
Excellent exposure,
Lovely capture of these magnificiant falls.
Ur quite lucky indeed to have got the support of that branch, I always carry a tripod just to be safe.
The discription sounds like a really adventurous place :)
Cheers TFS,
Shal

Hoi Ruud, toch maar een foto uit de oude doos? Ik heb weinig tijd om te posten maar deze staat er mooi op. Goed om de sluitertijd te zien, altijd leerzaam.
Groetjes Reina

Nicely captured, great composition. I like the flowing waterfall, but overall I think the image is somewhat soft. Handheld?
