This looks like Laothoe populi [Poplar Hawk-moth] very big and beautifull moth. I agree that focus is soft. Look at my workshop.

It is a little soft in focus but that doesn't matter so much with a capture like this. I know they feed at night so I guess it was tough to focus. Great shot.

Christophe, Great capture dipping & in-flight like this. Soft focus mostly due to the low-light I assume...Thanx for posting!
