[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The 8th of may is a free day in France, nobody is working or going to school because we celebrate the end of the Second World War. So I went to a famous aquarium of my region, the Aquarium of Otrott, with some friends (one of these friends, Laila, is also a TN member, known under the username of Friday). It was a big deception for me. Everybody told me how beautiful this aquarium was, it was written in all the touristic guides of Alsace, and in fact I just found it very small, and not particularly beautiful.

After that, we went to a small waterfall not far away, la Cascade de la Serva. I have never heard the name of this waterfall, it was not very famous, so I was afraid that it would not be very interesting. But when we arrived... wow, it was wonderful ! Rocks covered with moss, flowers and mushrooms, and this water running down the mountain (or rather the hill)... just fabulous !

I just want to add that it was raining all day, and when we came home we were wet from the head to the toes , but it was really worth it ! :-))

I have taken some photos from the waterfalls, but they are quite bad and not worth being posted. Laila has taken much better photos, I hope that she will post them on TN. This landscape was on the way to the waterfalls. I just saw it, stopped the car and went out to take some photos. As you can see, it was not only a rainy but alos a foggy day.

Bonjour Valerie!
Yes, I like it very much! I love rainy days, especially when I walking in park or forest. Air smells beautifully and everything is so clear. Very good photo, fresh greens, clouds of mist, grey sky - excellent, rainy mood.

Rainy days are not that much photographed, for some reason... I prove here they can offer some fine opportunities too...
Atmosphere well captured, foggy low clouds say it all...

I know it is little bit strange but I love the foggy days, so foggy landscapes also, love that gloomy mode. Foggy days mean there are wet on the flowers, beetles... and means there should be mushrooms also. In the frame, the spruce forest so attractive to me, there should be lots of interesting things in there. Nice landscape shot, I like it, I felt that gloomy mood. Thank you,

Sorry to hear that the photos of the falls didn't came out as attended, but luckely you were able to catch this beauty. The fog and low hanging clouds in this photo remind me of mountain areas. The colors in your photo are realy beautiful and show the fresh spring colors as well.

It sounds like you had a very busy day. I've been to a few places where the publicity has been excellent, only to leave disappointed.
At least you found somewhere beyond your expectations, with a beautiful waterfall and full of interesting plants (I hope to see Lailas photos of it).
After seeing your images of Alsace, it's made it onto my must visit list.
