ERITHACUS RUBECULA - Rougegorge familier (F) - Robin, Redbreast (UK/US)
This little bird (14cm) spends spring and summertime in the woods and comes closer to villages in autumn and winter. During winter it spends most of his time in gardens and some often near homes. Nests in woods and gardens. In Western Europe, they don't migrate. His main food is composed of insects, berries and fruits, found on the ground. We have a couple in our garden. It's a discreet and familiar bird. He seems curious by what's going on around. When I'm in the garden, they are always around. Their song is a continuous cristalline "tictictic", but varies according to seasons. When it starts freezing, I put food in some places, including vegetable fat mixed with seeds.

Splendid shot Jean. Excellent Detail, colour and composition with nice blurred BG. Good job

Looks very good on thumbnail but when enlarged the lack of sharpness its compelling

The backlight, composition and colours here are very nice. I dont like the work NI did this time. I am sure this shots worths a mask and PS advanced blur or/and filter instead. Jean M., I am very interested on looking at more shots with the Sony tele, hope to see soon.

Jean Micheal, Good shot with good color seen. Although a this one lacks sharpness, it is well worth posting. I enjoyed reading your personalized notes. I've always fed the birds during winter also! TFS

Lovely photo, I really like the highlights on the robin and leaves. This is a very simple and pleasing photo.

Jean Michel, this little Robin is cute. It is a great shot of him, and I love his colours, his feathers are so pretty. You write excellenbt notes. TFS, Janice

Very good Jean.
Great colours and details. But the BG it's not good.
This beautiful picture deserve a better PP, and do not use NI to sharp it, use USM instead.
Good note.
Very well done.

Hi Jean Micheal
Mustbe one of the best loved birdies in the world, and you got a very nice shot of him here!
The backlighting is superb and I just love the innocent look on his face.

Salut Jean-Michel!
Ah qu'il est joli, cet oiseau! Mignon comme tout!
Nous n'avns pas cette espèce au Québec.
Notre merle est plus 'rugueux'.
Une excellente présentation: image et note.
Merci

So cute bird! Excellent colours and pose. Good composition. Too much noise, unfortunatelly. Look at my workshop - I removed some.

Gran imagen Jean Michel ... sólo remarcaría el foco algo soft y algo de exceso en filtrado de NI.

Beaucoup de bruit sur cette photo, l'oiseau aurait besoin d'un peut plus de place a l'avant.
Tres bon BG.

Nice shot, Jean. Very nice composition.

This is a beautiful composition, but as the guys have mentioned, a bit soft. A fill flash would have addedlifted more detail.

I still like the shot a lot.

Well done and thanks for posting.

Another excellent Robin shot on TN. Love the pose and the play of light on this one. Well done.

Excellent photo, the highlights on the robin is very nice. Very well done.

Jean Michel, the bird is very cute and lovely. DOF is perfect, as well as composition. As for the noise, according to what Felipe said, maybe a blurred BG would be a better solution. What do you think of that?

This is a nice shot Jean,
I love taking photos of Robins, they are so friendly.
Good detail.
Thanks for posting

Very nice close up of this robin. The depth of field is excellent.
I did a workshop to try to remove some of the noise from the background with the blur tool, instead of the usual NeatImage method. I hope you like it.
