[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this little green grasshopper in my garden this morning. I find when ever I go out into my garden I need to hurry back into the house to get my camera! I then seem to spend AGES trying to identify the creature I have photographed so that others can learn too. I have four books I bought especially in french so that at least I might get a clue as to the identification. The books have been helpful but of course my insects never look the same as the ones in the books! So I am afraid after a long search I can't find out what this species is - sorry!
Sometimes photos do not give idea of size... this creature was about 15mm in body length and was found on a rose bush. Wingless as you can see. I wonder if it is a 'baby'?
I would be grateful if anyone can tell me and also if anyone knows a good 'identification' website.

Une excellente photo en macroavec une belle présentation ,les couleurs sont justes et parfaitements exposées. Félicitations pour la belle composition et beau BG .On peut dire que c'est un camoufflage presque parfait.

Bonjour ! j'ai eu le même problème d'identification que toi car j'ai le même genre de bébête dans mon jardin en banlieue parisienne. Ce sont bien des bébés sauterelles, et si j'en crois ce qu'on m'a dit, pour l'identification il faut attendre qu'elles grandissent ! En tous cas, bonne photo "vert sur vert", et tu n'as pas coupé les antennes !

Bonjour Morag ! J'ai trouvé exactement la même sauterelle la semaine dernière, j'en ai une photo dand maz galerie, mais je n'ai pasd non plus réussi à l'identifier. L'un des membres de TN m'a suggéré qu'il s'agissait peut-être d'un bébé d'une grande suaterelle verte, mais il n'en était pas sûr. La photo est très belle, avec de jolis tons verts. Bons détails et très belle composition. Bien joué !
