¡Este segundo intento está casi perfecto! Falta un poquito de nitidez en la punta de las alas derechas, que ni siquiera lo hubiera notado, de no ser por lo perfeccionista de la fotografa, que bien merece una observación cuidadosa.
¿Qué pasó con el fondo, que se ha perdido por completo?

your first one, well concratiolation. I know what it is to made a good shot of a dragon, it's give me a kick, I love it. Your one is nice, try next time to go closer and make another good composition, very good job.

For me it looks as our common Black-Tailed Skimmer, but I'm definitely not an expert in d'flies :-)
Anyway, the picture is really good technically. I took it to my Corel and sharpen a little. It's possible to get even more sharp details from it. There's no point for posting WS, because I think all that could improve this picture is a little sharpening. Apart from that it's great! I especially like the clarity.

Nice shot with very good sharp detail, color and exposure. Looks like a Great Blue Skimmer (Libellula vibrans) to me, but I'm not 100% on that :)

I don't know how but I didn't saw this picture before! It looks great! I don't remember picture of dragonfly on such fantastic, pastel BG. Pose and POV are superb, great sharpness and details. Green eyes and blue body - I like it very, very much!

Outstanding photo Valerie!
But I think that isn't a Libelula fulva but an Orthetrum coerulescens (Fabricius, 1798), a male.
The Libelula fulva has dark marks on the wings near the dorsal body and has yellow dots on the body. Your photo does not show that.

Hi Valerie,
Lovely shot of this Dragonfly, perfect DOF, quite often the fall-off in DOF blurs out the wings but not so here. Wonderful colours and well isolated against that neutral and warm background. There seems to be s kind of bluish haze above the head, not sure what that is.

I took a picture of a dragonfly yesterday, my first one :-) Nowhere near as good as this but I'll post it someday.

Hi Valerie, lovely shot of this skimmer. The colours are great and the dragonfly stands out beautifully from that soft BG. Great pose and POV and nice composition. Just slightly noisy but that can be cured in PP using Neatimage or similar software. Great shot, TFS :)
