Commentaries
The polypore of the birch is a "pancake" whose thickness can vary from 3 to 8 cm. First tender, the flesh, half note, becomes tough (it was even used once to refine some razors!) with age and the remained a long time in place individual. Although non toxic, this mushroom is not classified nevertheless among the foods.

Que de champignons, Christophe. C'est une belle collection que vous nous monter ces dernier temps.
Très intéressantes présentations: photos et notes bilingues en plus.
Bravo et Merci beaucoup.

Hi Christophe.
Nice to see your mushroom pics again.
This is a perfect shot for the galery, good detail. I would have forced just a bit more USM, but is a personal opinion, and the monitor I use for the internet computer is not very sharp, so never mind.
I like the silver reflections on the bark. Regards, Felipe.
