Description : wild species of goat characterized by the enormous horns recurved which, in the male, measure between 70 and 140cm ; those of the female are shorter. The ibex of the Alps, which is representative, measurement between 65 and 105cm height to the garrot, changes color according to the season while passing from brown reddish to the brownish gray, and joins in groups of single people and herds from ten to twenty females. One finds it on the steep grounds, between the limit of the forests and that of snows, in the Alps. The herds of males and females meet only in period of coupling. The ibex of the Alps has the very sure foot and is famous for its agility to jump between the rock projections.
Ibex are found in Europe and North Africa.

Note : On the previous post it was a wild jumping baby Ibex and this time I show you his mother. She quietly looked at him and at me... We were at about 2000m altitude.
I was surprise because she took a rest on rocks and not in grass more comfortable... I hope you like her.

Beautiful sharp shot. I like the lighting and the way you've cropped the picture. I wonder how close you were? They're presumably very shy animals?
Regards, Ulla

Bonjour Chrisitan !

Bien hecho... Ricardo

An excellent image my old friend... I had lost it between of so many mediocrities.
Excellent POV with accurate DOF and POV, with perfect focus.
In spite of the very illumination, it doesn't exist over exposed some.
Well done... Ricardo

Hello Christian,
excellent capture of the ibex goat at rest.
Perfectly clear and sharp details, and a composition of great harmony. Very lucky and successful to get that close - although they are quite social. You must have been climbing on rocks a lot this summer. Congratulations my friend!
Best regards,
Peter

Hi Christian.
In waiting your next work I am getting pleaser from your previous pictures. This one is great by its lighting, skilful separation FG and BG, excellent sharpness and details of the animal and amazing reproduction the mood of this cute Mother. Bravo and TFS.
Alexei.
