Hi Christophe, it's a nice capture but is a little dark and you have mentioned the noise. Have you tried NeatImage? It's a piece of software that allows you to remove noise. You can download a basic version for free. Good work.

We have the same camera, same problems Christophe. OK, Our biggest problem is the C8080's 5X optical range. Even with your 1.7 converter that's < than 10X. This means that to get on the ballpark with these small birds you will need to be < than 15 feet from the subject..I use seed & wait for them to come to me. Also, as I said before, the Olympus does very poorly in low-light as I'm sure you're finding out?? On the up-side, it's a great camera for macro work with a great lens & plenty of pixels!! Good luck!

J'aimerais bien faire un WS avec votre image mais j'ai déjà trop donné aujourd'hui, Christophe. Une autre fois peut-être!
Bonne composition et un excellent angle de prise de vue.
Bravo! et merci.

The POV is excellent. Thye focus is soft. There is a lot of noise and the glint in the eye is overdone. However Christophe, my critism is not to break you down but to help you do better next time. I suspect there was too much PP work. Otherwise, nice image. Well done

I agree with Willie in every word. Little too noisy, try to use software like Neat Image or Noise Ninja, Christophe!

I am afraid if you use NeatImage with a busy composition as this the results is not usually an improvement. Your enemy here is that of all photographers and it's lack of the right light. I suspect you used the on-camera flash (from the light in the eye) and not a proffesional flash. These on-camera flashes is hardly ever effective if not used close and indoors. The other factor is the ISO setting. I do not know if you had the camera on one of the automatic settings which forced it to choose a higher ISO rating. This looks like a ISO 800 or 1600 if the camera has that ability. I hope it helps for the future but without enough light and a high ISO all our photos would have this noise problem too.
