What excellent capture showing a slime mould plasmodium.

Excellent image of a slime mold, actually a protist, not a fungus. It creeps around under the leaves and logs consuming bacteria and other organic particles in a manner similar to an amoeba, and crawls up on top of logs or plants when it's time to reproduce, where it transforms into fruiting bodies, producing spores similar to fungi.
