They are beautful creatures. Earlier this year I got interested in them and it happened to be this type of dragonfly that was my first shot. Good shot.

Nice and sharp capture, good diagonal compo, good light, fairly good DOF. A note would be nice, that's part of the concept here at TN.
I think this may be the Keeled skimmer Orthetrum coerulescens - or it may be a species we don't get around here.

Nice 1st image , a little short on DOF but other wise very nice. not sure which sort it is It doesnt look quiet right for a Keeled Skimmer (Orthetrum coerulescens) the eyes look too pale in the blue colouration.A few note about where and how you took the shot should be added, as here on TN the note about are as inportant as the image.

Good shot. Good composition and detail.It is definitely a darter of some kind it is likely to be a very mature male it's colour has been ruined by the blueish white powder (purinescence). I'm not sure what is though.
