La thomise (araignée crabe) a la capacité de changer de couleur, en fonction de la fleur sur laquelle elle se tient. De petit taille, elle se confond parfaitement avec les inflorescences et chasse à l’affût les abeilles et autres insectes qui ne parviennent pas à la distinguer. Ce camouflage lui permet également d’échapper aux oiseaux prédateurs. Ici sur une inflorescence d’Orchis fragans, la thomise a adopté une couleur rose tachetée très proche de celle de la fleur.

Camoflaged isn't he?!
Well focused and the colours are fabulous.

I think the shot would be better if it was rotated and cropped. I've done a workshop to show you the difference.

I like this species of spider so much. You have presented it very well. Impressive POV, excellent DOF, sharpness and details of this cute insect. Lighting and colours of the spider and flowers are really amazing. Well done and my compliments. Best wishes and TFS.

Bella captura Herve con excelente armonía de colores entre la araña y su entorno que demuestra el nivel de mimetismo de esta especie.
La nitidez es muy buena aunque creo que la profundidad debería haber sido mayor para captar un foco más integral.
La apropiada iluminación y el fondo difuso, colaboran con la belleza de la composición.

Belle capture Herve avec excellente harmonie de couleurs entre l'araignée et son environnement qu'il démontre le niveau de mimétisme de cette espèce.
L'éclat est très bon bien que je crois que la profondeur devra avoir été majeur pour capter un foyer le plus intégral.
L'appropriée illumination et le fond diffus, ils collaborent avec la beauté de la composition.
