This is a moth which can be see flying by day. It has a slow flight and after it was disturbed usually settles in the vegetation nearby.

The species is
- Siona lineata
- family: Geometridae
German: Weißer Schwarzaderspanner

Species information
Distribution: Europe and palaearctic Asia eastwards to the Amur region.
Wing span: about 30mm.
Hostplants of the caterpillar: Plantago species, Artemisia campestris, Aster linosyris.

Location
Flower reach meadow, close to Osterwieck with view to the Harz-Mountains.

Hello Peter,
Very beautiful photo of this moth in splendid light and colours. Great contrasting OOF BG, POV and DOF. Very good sharpness and details. But most of all I like the perfect diagonal composition.
