[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The name of this spider is Pisaura mirabilis (Araneae, Pisauridae). The species likes sunny forest edges resting on large leafs of lower plants exposed to the sun. The species does not produce a net but 'strolls' through the vegetation watching out for prey. Often, as seen also on this picture, the first two legs are set in parallel.

The picture was taken in a small nature reserve called 'Großer Fallstein' near Osterwiek north of the Harz-Mountains.

In addition to the lens an Olympus Digital Extension Tube EX-25 was used.

Light: bright morning sun.

lustig, gestern habe ich im Garten genau die gleiche Spinnenart fotografiert, aber Dein Foto ist viel besser als meins geworden. Man sieht die Augen glänzen und die Farben sind so brilliant. Ganz toll, vielen Dank

Hallo Peter, da hast Du ein prächtiges Listspinnenweibchen erwischt! Es hat eine wunderbare Braunfärbung des Rückens. Sehr schöner Bildaufbau, sehr gute Schärfe und wie ich sehe hast Du ebenfalls das Problem, die langen Beine der Spinne irgenwie auf das Bild zu bannen. Danke für das schöne Foto.
