Lieber Peter,
Anne

A macro image of a Cicada taken with tremendous technical expertise, Peter. The image looks so very life-like.
Even the thorny branch on which the Cicada is perched contributes well to this strong and attractive composition.
TFS and regards.

Bizarre indeed Peter, & a great catch.
Glad you were able to find the ID for it and provide some information about it.
Good work.
A very interesting addition to TNs archives.
Cheers & TFS

Hi Peter.
Incredible macro shot with unbelievable details of the insect and twig. Fantastic DOF, razor sharpness of the main subject and very nice well blurred BG. Diagonal composition of the shot is the best too. Bravo.
Alexei.
