Corvo imperiale

ITALIANO:
Mentre fotografavo i lupi nella foresta bavarese, questo bell'esemplare di corvo imperiale si è posato su un ramo a pochi metri da me.
Era solo interessato ai resti del pasto dei lupi e non badava a me che ho fatto a tempo a fare un sacco di foto.
Poi ha rubato un pezzo di carne quando i lupi erano distratti e se l'è filata.

Il corvo imperiale ha un'impressionante apertura alare di 120 cm. ed il + grande passeriforme e corvide d'europa.

ENGLISH:
It is a large black bird in the crow family, with iridescent feathers. The bill is large and slightly curved. At maturity, it is between 56 and 69 cm (22 to 27 inches) in length, with a wingspan double that.

Apart from its greater size, the Raven differs from its cousins the crows by having a larger and heavier beak, and a deeper and more varied barking prrrukk call note. Other field points are the shaggy throat feathers and a longer, wedge-shaped tail.

Hi Andrea,
wow...nice and sharp capture of the raven. It's lokking above for something, which gives a bit of action to the picture. The black parts are well exposed. More of these nice images! :-)

You have done a very good job in managing to capture such a good exposure of such a dark bird.The details of it feathers are clearly seen.Caught in a nice pose and a good cut of its perch.It has a look on its face as if to say - "I can hear you coming...".TFS and a good evening to you.

This is a fine capture of the Raven, sharp and well-presented. If it were'nt for the meat put out for the wolves, it is not often one can come so close to a Raven. You took the opportunity well.
