What I like most in this picture are the beautiful colours. Those colours are very subtle and nuanced, from greyish green of the eyes to the fantastic red of the leaf which is perfectly contrasting with the dragonfly. The pov is fantastic too, great work Sabine (oups, c'est vrai, tu parles français aussi!), an amazing macro of a superb composition,

Another wonderful dragonfly macro Sabine.
This one does look little bright in places,just the way the light is catching that metallic sheen at a certain angle.
Excellent detail though and very nicely composed.

Sehr schön, diese Farbenzusammenstellung! Ich lieb es, wenn blau und grün kombiniert sind und wenn dazu noch warmes Rot und Braun kommen, dann ist es farblich perfekt. Mir gefällt auch dein gewählter Ausschnitt, bin sonst keine Liebhaberin von Macroaugen allein. Mir scheint auch, dass diese Libelle nicht so oft gezeigt wird.

Hi Sabine

It is good to see you're active again after an extensive period of absence.
I am sure your archives are just bursting with all the wonderful captures
made during the past 10 months. I bet we're still going to see some great
shots in the next couple of weeks.

The details on this Keeled skimmer are just fabulous. The exploded view
of the insect shows all the details in pristine and comprehensible clarity.
The wide-ranging DOF was brilliantly accomplished with the aid of the
impressive f/22 aperture. The contrast between the green eyes and the
blue body is quite astonishing.
