Hi Sabine.
Thanks snowy weather. Now we can watch pictures from your huge archive. Unusual place on the ground for dragonfly. However, I like it (because of its impressiveness) as well as the nice image of the insect. As usual, DIF is selected perfectly and flash light is great. All beauties of the insect are reproduced excellently. Crisp sharp image. Well done and kind regards.

Nice to see you posting again!
This is a very good shot of the Dragonfly laying its eggs.
Nicely composed with very sharp details.
I was just looking back at my photos of a New Zealand dragonfly laying eggs,and realised that I had posted one photo twice .... oops!

I can sense that spring is only a week away. Th9is is teh third dragonfly I have seen in under 10 minutes today..Ram also and goutham and one more..wow! What a nice close in macro of teh beast!

A great moment to capture, Sabine, and how!
Fantastic macro of the female dragonfly with superb sharpness, especially of the eyes.
The swampy background makes this image so very realistic.

Indeed a fine egg-laying moment captured with great clarity, fine detail and ideal exposure from a good vantage point Sabine, I especially like the heterogenous structure of the compound eyes and hemolymph bubbles seen through the semi- transparent thoracic chamber, excellent job indeed!

You get so close into their world, Sabine, maybe are you a dragonfly youself :-) I wondered what it was doing at first and where it was standing, but this is water and laying eggs! Wow, the dof is superb!

Picture with tons of details and colors. I like the perspective and with f22 you have god good DOF as well. There seems to a slight red cast in the picture which i think can be removed using PP. Anyways a nice picture to see and enjoy the beauty of natures creation
