Wine definitelly is one of the oldest cultivated plants on earth. Min. 7000 BC man started to cultivate wine in China.
Today hundreds of different wines are growing all over the world in temperate and tropical areas.
In Germany the Rhine Vallea and its side rivers in the south west like Mosel are important regions for growing cultivated wine. The grapes are round and thick and ready for harvest now. Besides the vineyards on cliffs, walls and bushes wild wines plants are growing. They also have grapes but so small, you can't pick them. The leafs of wild wine are tall and single. In autumn - befor the first frosty nights they reveal absolutelly beautifull colours. |
