...(Lat. Papio hamadryas, Ger. Mantelpavian) seen while relaxing in the spring sun at the zoo in Frankfurt...
Typical for this kind of baboon is, that males are silver-white colored and have an eye-catching mane, while the females are maneless and brown (as you can imagine now, my shot is a female baboon). The face of both is colored red.
Their incidence spreads out from the Red Sea in Egypt to Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia. |
