Polar Bear [ Ursus Maritimus]
Taken in the Frankfurt zoo.
They live in the Antarctic and depend mainly on the sea ice for all their essential needs.Global warming is an overwhelming threat to them. This mammal could be the first to loose all its habitat to global warming. It is the worlds largest carnivor weighing between 300 - 600 Kg. Feeds mainly on seals, young walrusses and whales however it is very opportunistic and will kill and eat almost anything.

Funny expression of the face of the bear, well
captured and very good title.I like also the con-
trast beetwin the grey of the rocks and the white.
Ciao Francesco

We used to have Polar bears in our zoo when I was a child. They would walk the same path all day long, swaying side to side. It was sad to see them like this in a pit with white walls to make them think it was ice.
I feel sad for your polar bear here, he looks so unhappy and angry. What a life!
Thank you Erwin for sharing
