Snowy Oak
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Today we had the heaviest snowfall along the Rhine ever recorded in March - 30 cm. Snow always produces special light and sounds and I like it.
Everything turns into something new and looks so pure and clean. I tried to capture this feeling in some pictures. This one shows an very old oak tree right on the banks of river Rhine. I did already post a autum shot of the same tree. |

I like very much the composition and all the range of greys, B&W achieved. The tree touching the top of the pic is a pity for my taste, otherwise and excellent pic. Thanks for sharing.
This is beautiful. Good range of values. I want 30 cm of snow so I can take some pictures of it!! : )
Hi Thomas,
I agree with you. Snow will change the world's face.
Good compo of this tree. I like the black and white style in this picture, it shows us the right atmosphere of the moment you captured the oak.
Well done!
TFS and regards, Ruud

Erstmal ein wunderbares Wintermotif, der kahle Baum mit dem Schnee. Gelunger Bildaufbau und Schnitt. Ein schoenes S/W.

Hi Thomas, sorry, I seem to have missed your photos lately.
I do like this, and it is a beautiful tree. And I love seeing the snow on it. The snow was 30cm, that's deep!! Very good in B&W, BRAVO!
