Great photo. Very good composition. Quite good sharpnes. But it is not Pieris rapae it is Pieris napi

Since I am looking at a White soon after posting one myself yesterday, I can say that your image of this butterfly is decidedly far superior in terms of technical merit and also as a compo.

Another superb butterfly capture from you!
The diagonal composition here is excellent, the colors lovley and the details very nice nad sharp.
also the DOF helped very much in isolating the subject very well fro m the blurry BG and the very good esxposure made the best of all its features.

Guten Morgen Heinz,
brilliant und scharf. An diesem tadellosen Exemplar des Weißlings stellst du die einfachen Flügelzeichnungen so dar, dass sie sehenswert erscheinen. Ich liebe feine Nuancen und das Detail.
Dein Bild zeigt Pieris napi, klar erkenntlich an den dunkleren Schuppen, die die Adern auf den Hinterflügeln begleiten. Dieses Merkmal ist bei alpinen Exemplaren noch deutlicher ausgeprägt - da können die Flügel fast komplett braun sein (ssp. bryoniae).

Bonita macro Heinz con buen punto de vista y encuadre, apropiado foco y profundidad, siendo la agudeza algo soft, sobre todo en la flor.
Aunque el fondo tiene suficiente difusión, presenta un evidente ruido tal vez originado por un elevado ISO.

Hi Heinz,
Whites may be very common but they are [IMMO] the most difficult to photograph. You have succeeded magnificently, with very matching colurs and very good light management. BG is a bit noisy but it in no way effects the overall quality of your shot.
