Who said they were ugly ducklings - I think they're adorable!!! Very nice presentation, color, lighting and detail. Looks like mom is keeping a sharp eye on you -- careful, I'm sure you know how mean they can be! Thanks for sharing this!

Lovely shot of the Pen & Cygnets.
Nicely composed wiht a great POV, good details and great colours.
My local park has five nests, so far one has hatched with 8 young, I got some shots but they were a bit far away so will have to go back.

Very good capture of this lovely family. Beter watch out for dad because they can get very angry if you get to close.
The little ones are very cute. Nice sunlight and the grass makes a very nice natural frame around them.

Awesome photo - not only of her, but of her young brood. I love the composition. If she's leery of you, it doesn't show. Most would gather up their brood and the other would chase you off. Wonderful sharpness, excellent composition, and the feeling of wonder and hope fills me as I study this capture.

Hi Thorsten

This is a lovely natural family scene on the nest. Swans, ducks, and geese are very protective of their young and mom is giving you a nasty look to make sure you keep your distance.

Good DOF to capture all the detail and great colours. I like the composition with the reeds/grasses forming a "hedge of protection" around the nest. Well spotted and good POV.
