[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I guess the 26th was my lucky day at the Decksteiner
Weiher with a Grebe-family and a
Coot-famly.

On my way back to my car i observed a large dragonfly
flying along the waterline and landing always on
the same place, so i carefully walked nearer and waited
for him to come back, when in midair he met another
dragonfly and they both landed just a couple meters
in front of me. they were kind enough to stay there
for me to take a few shots - just the background
could have been better...(old concrete wall).

I hope that Mr. & Mrs. Black-tailed Skimmer Orthetrum cancellatum
were successfull in their reproduction. *g*

Hi Thorsten. Concrete wall BG or not this is a fine close up of the pair of Dragonflies. Your side view shows excellen detail and such bright natural colours. The wings stand out so well. TFS.

A very nice capture of a couple of O. cancellatum making sure their genes go futher.
The POV is great, taken with fine sharpness against the rock BG.

Hi Thor
A great shot of this mating wheel - I took some very similar pictures of the same species doing exactly the same thing here in the UK just over a week ago. I think the background is actually good and shows off the details of insects very well. My shots were against a background of mud and short grass and they are not as good as this.
Very well exposed to show the beautiful colours on their bodies. Great work!
