Hi Thorsten . This is one of the best pictures of a Marmalade fly i have seen on TN. The top POV lets us see all of the body and wings. With sharp focusing and fine detail.Your use of the flash has given a shine ti the ings and bright colours. The pose on the Flower against the plain Bg is very nice. I am going to put this in to my favorites. Very well done TFS.

Very good macro with a perfect use of the flash (ring flash?). Details, reflections of the wings, colours, everything is perfectly managed. This is the kind of shot which shows the benefit of the flash for macro subjects, I think. Congratulations,

A very fine close macro of Episyrphus balteatus taken from a dorsal POV that is super sharp against the neutral BG with good use of flash causing not too much reflection.

I missed the first shot of this wonderful Hoverfly who must love posing for you. Both are fantastic macros with amazing colors and details. I love the wings!!!! Great timing to capture it as it attacks the flower. Superb background and centered composition.
