Hi Thorsten,
brrrrr, diese großen Hüpfer machen mir immer ein wenig Angst, nicht lachen! Aber mit Käfern und Grashüpfern kann ich nicht so viel anfangen. Er gefällt mir sehr, dieser orangene Körper und die Augen, trotzdem hab' ich immer Angst, sie könnten auf mich draufhüpfen, brrrrr! Der riesige, den ich in Burma fotografiert habe hat mich schon viel Überwindung gekostet um näher ranzugehen.

Great light, color, sharpness, and detail..
As you have noted, it could be in a better setting of course. And when they are on the ground like this, it becomes harder to get the best POV..

a lovely hopper with nice colours and pattern.
Good details but as you mention the the POV is not the best.
Maybe you coult got down on your stomach;-)
The hopper nearly disappear against the BG.

ich tippe auf einen Omocestus rufipes, also einen "Buntbäuchigen Grashüpfer". Kannst Dich aber selbst davon überzeugen.

Excellentes Makro mit sehr guter Schärfe und ein sehr schöne Bildgestaltung. Wunderbare Farben und eine sehr guter POV. Danke Dir für diesen schönen Hopper. Ich wünsche Dir ein schönes Wochenende. (mit etwas weniger Hitze)

Hallo Thorsten,
was dir alles so uebern Weg hopst, das ist ja klasse. Richtig toll hast den erwischt, super Schaerfe und klasse Perspektive. Trotz der guten Tarnung hebt er sich schoen vom Hintergrund ab.

Hallo Thor,
scharfes, gut durchgezeichnetes Portrait dieses Grashüpfers - nicht einfach, so nahe an sie heran zu kommen, da sie sehr gut sehen und eine geringe Fluchtdistanz haben. Der scheckige Hintergrund demonstriert sehr gut die Konturen auflösende Zeichnung des Hüpfers: Er verschwindet fast in seiner Umgebung. Viel Spaß bei weiteren schönen Annäherungen!
