[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A head study of a phasmid (stick insect, Stabheuschrecke).

Unfortunately I do not know exactly which kind it
is since there are many different species a few of which can be found at
http://www.phasmid.freeservers.com/

I was given 6 phasmids about 1.5 years ago and I have about 25 at the moment in the 3rd generation.

The macroshot was made with a 20 mm Soligor extension tube and cropped in photoshop.

I got myself a new photoshop (9.0) and did a little workshop with the photo using the shadows/highlights feature. (thanks to robbrown. :-) )

Welcome to TN Thorsten interesting image , DOF is very shallow because of the extension tube, but other wise OK, it could be lightened with Shadows and highlights to reveal a lot more details in the dark areas. I find it an essential tool as I tend to under expose most things to preserve details in bright highlight areas.

good shot.. but need for sharpen. TFS!

Hallo Thorsten.
The focus is good but it's still a bit dark.
You could proably also brighten it a little bit
after the S/H. Then use Unsharp Mask filter maybe.
