With this picture I woul like to show the minute world of minute insects.
In this case the small leaf beetle
- Luperus flavipes
- family: Chrysomelidae
on young and fresh leafs of
- Salix capraea
- family: Salicaceae

Species information
L. flavipes occurs at forest edges and in garden areas.
It likes Salix, Betula, Alnus and Corylus.
Hofmann (1883) notes that the species can be a pest of fruit trees.
Body length: about 4 mm

Hi Peter,

It is a very good shot with the tiny beetle. I like very the DOF keeping all insect's body in focus and showing good clear details. Very nice lighting solution rendering rich natural looking color tones.
