Hello Martina, good shot. I must tell you that the ID is incorrect - this is a male Southern Hawker Aeshna cyanea.


Good focussing and nice composition although, I would have preffered it with the Dragonfly not rotated as they usallay hang vertically.

Nice one Martina, the colours and patterns are all sharp and clear. I am a little sorry it is cropped so close, and the wing is cut off. But otherwise I think it is terrific. Well done.

Excellent first post of this Southern Hawker. DOF is spot on getting almost all of the hawker in focus. The colours are very natural and I do like the tight cropping and the diagonal composition. Well done.
