This small beetle likes the vicinity of rivulets. It is a species of the
- genus: Donacia
- family: Chrysomelidae
- subfamily: Donaciinae

The species of the genus Donacia are not so easy to identify. Therefore, I cannot give the exact name this time.
Body length is about 9 mm.

Location
A valley with a rivulet at the foots of the northern Harz-Mountains, vicinity of Langenstein

Lieber Peter,
Fast hätte ich diesen kleinen Käfer verpasst, den Du wie üblich mit grosser Präzision und schönem Bildaufbau fotografiert hast. Er gleicht sehr Plateumaris sericea,auch ein Käfer aus der Familie der Chrysomelidae. Eigentlich sehen sie fast gleich aus, vielleicht eine andere Farbgebung.

Hallo Peter,
schon interessant, wie beim Durchblättern der TN-Gallerie sofort Dein Bild ins Auge sticht. Warum ist das so? Ich glaube, es ist die Originalität des Subjekts kombiniert mit raffinierter Darstellungstechnik und dann noch ein gewisses Etwas, das Licht. Ich habe Donacia auch photographiert, abermeine Version verkriecht sich gleichsam beim Vergleich mit der Deinen. Toll gemacht!
