This aktive bumble-bee was so interested at this coneflower. But it wasn't sitting quiet for a second -
not so easy for me to take a shot :-)

The coneflower - Echinacea angustifolia DC. is an herbaceous perennial and a member of the Asteraceae family. Commonly called narrow leaf purple coneflower, it has a natural range in North America that includes most of the mid-western states east of the Rocky Mountains. E. angustifolia grows at a rate of six to eight inches a year to a mature height of twelve to twenty-eight inches. The leaves are lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, and the flowers are cone-shaped disks with purple, pale pink, or rarely white spreading ray flowers. The plant has one or more stems that are mostly unbranched, and flowers bloom from June to July. The taproot of cultivated E. angustifolia is harvested three-to-four years from seed. It is the root that is believed to contain most of the plant’s medicinal value, although the herb is also used.

wow - excellent to get such a nicely composed shot with a difficult subject. The texture of the flower really looks great, very detailed and sharp. The bee is also clear and nicely detailed, beautiful to see working so hard. Great job.

Hello Wishnu Luc. Very good shot. Great POV and very good details. Excellent colours.

Hi Wishnu,

Very nice shot. Extreme macro :-)
Good job.

Pretty colors. Your DOF could be a bit higher to get all the parts of the bee in focus.

Well seen!

Hi Sabine,
Yeah, I know those bumblebees... very busy guys and really hard to get perfect! This is quite nice, well composed and really close!
I like the flower you choose as it adds dynamics, it is like it is beaming out from the corner!
Good colours and nice details!
Greetings,
Pablo -
