Araneus marmoreus

Polymorphic - This spider has many color varieties. The most common form has an orange front part of the body (cephalothorax) with orange/white/black banded legs. The abdomen on this form is either orange or yellow with a pattern that resembles a face to some observers. Other color varieties include one that is very pale tan or yellow, sometimes with a black spot in the middle of the abdomen.
Harmless - This species, as is common to members of the orbweaver family, is not known to bite humans. It preys on a variety of flying insects.
Nocturnal - The spiders build their web at dusk and either wait in the web or in a retreat near the web at night for prey to strike the web. Then the spider runs out and wraps the prey in silk. After the prey is immobilized, the prey is bitten and eventually eaten. Some individuals stay in their webs during the day, but this is not common. They typically rebuild their web each day, or at least the sticky spiral orb part.

This is avery good macro, Heinz.

Hi Heinz,
Nice shot.
Great details.
I like your composition.
A also like the web that has been included.
Nice work
:)

Hi Heinz,
Beautiful composition, and amazing colour, very good frame.
TFS!

Nice shot Heinz!
Photo has good POV and composition and nice colours. I think however that tghe DOF is too shalow and overall, focus quite far from perfect.
I know it is difficult to have all spider in focus, but I think this could've been a bit better.
Anyway, I like it.
WELL DONE & TFS

Hi Heinz, nice shot but this is A. diadematus they too are quite variable. It's a nice composition and pretty good details where the DOF extends to, I think you needed more depth of focus here, but it's always a struggle with the light. Well done.

it's a nice one Heinz,
very good close up, good details, nice pov and a good dof, very good job.

Hello Heinz,
I love this composition. The spider looks nice on the fine green BG. All you need is some more light and DoF. Using a flash highly recomended at such shots :)
Well done.

Very good macro Heinz, This is well composed with good details, POV and colors. A bit of fill flash and a smaller aperture would make it even better..Great note - Well done.

Hallo Heinz,
Ganz ganz toll, Danke
