Flight Time: June-August and Spring after hibernation.
Size: 52-60mm

This butterfly has yellow (male) or greenish-white (female) wings with orange spot in the middle of each one.

I like the out-of-frame srtle and the crop is very good. Exposure is very good and details are nice. It's just too bad the focus on the antennas is soft. Otherwise; well done & TFS!

Hallo Sabine, Dir ist also auch ein "Gelber" über den Weg geflattert. - Sehr schönes, detailiertes Makro. Die Farben sind sehr gut. Eventuell hätte ich den Schmetterling einen Tick kleiner abgebildet. Ansonsten ein sehr schönes Foto. Danke.

Hi Sabine,
This is a beautiful close-up on this lemon butterfly !
The light is beautiful and the shot is very sharp so that we can see the impressive hair of the butterfly. The depth of field seems to be very narrow since the right antenna is a little blurred.
In my opinion, the only bad point is the background ; there is a yellow flower which is superimposed with the head of the butterfly. The contrast would be better if that flower was not here, which could be possible if the point of view was just a little shifted (or the flower temporarily removed).
The framing is great.
