[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Saw this eye-catching caterpillar on a cobble-stone. It's colour is neon-light-green. I wonder what kind of butterfly it will become. Maybe someone can tell me?

Very good photo!
Beautiful color of the caterpillar indeed!
Perfect details and sharpness!
5* photo!
I can't say in what butterfly specie it will become. I never saw it in Portugal.

Hallo Roland,

Bye.

Nice shot Roland, The light green on the dark BG is very good. Maybee a little bit of overexposure around the mid part of the carterpillar, but is not very important. And still a great picture.

What a nice and interesting Caterpillar that you have well captured ! Yes the green is great! Perhaps I would have cropped dry grass at bottom... Congratulations Roland and thanks for sharing.

Hi Roland,
I'd like to let you know that it's a larva of Green Silver-lines Moth, Pseudoips prasinana (Noctuidae, Chlöephorinae). This species is rather common in places where oaks grow, and imagines are also green with light diagonal streaks, antennae and legs with a touch of pink.

Best regards,
Dmitry
