[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a bug of the family Coreidae. However, I did not succeed in identifying the species for sure. It looks very similar to Haploprocta sulcicornis, a species which likes dry and warm habitats und which is usually not found in Nordrhein-Westfalen. One character of this species are the flattened first two segments of the antennae, clearly visible on the picture. Perhaps, there is somebody who can help in identification.

A rather slow insect, it was easy to take a series of pictures when it strolled through the 'green jungle'. But for me it was absolutely necessary to lie flat on the ground.

Hello Peter.
I was very pleased when saw this insect. Few weeks ago I met it and managed whole series of shots. Somehow I'll share them too. But now I'm very impressed by your picture, its lightness, softness, excellent sharpness and composition. Very well done. TFS.
Best regards,
Alexei.

I think I have posted a frontal view of one of this HERE. It looks like a Coreus marginatus.

Check at Google HERE.

Nice shot, hope this helps and thanks for sharing. best regards, Felipe.

Hello Peter,

Is your identifying efforts resulted? I'm curious because I have some photos of the same species(maybe very similar one) from Central Turkey.

If you have learned I'll be very pleased to hear..

Also I heard you like Hipparchia's a lot:) You should see my Hipparchia parisatis I think. Just a gift.:)

A very nice picture, a little more sharpen on its back could make this perfect.

Thanks for everything,

regards,
Emin
