Last night the sky over cologne was clear and i had
a great view of the Moon, so i thought it was a good
opportunity to test my new tripod, which had a few
problems with my big (3.2kg) set-up.

Tripod, self-timer, Iso 100, shutter speed 1/200
as usual to reduce the noise.

A "re-worked" version with more black on the top can be
found in the WS-section.

The Exakta 650-1300mm f/8-16 can be seen here.

Hi Thorsten,
ich hatte auch so was vor - der Mond ist ideal in den letzen beiden Nächten.
Ganz toll geworden, schön scharf und man erkennt so viele Details. Diese Krater sind phaszinierend. Vielen Dank und Gruß

This is a superb 'moon' shot, excellent detail. The use of b&w works well to.
My only nit would probably be the composition. I (personally) feel as though it's too tight at the top of the frame, as if the moon is trying to escape ;-) just my opinion.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Thorsten

Always a pleasure to look at the craters of the moon, you captured it very well, although maybe a bit tight crop on the top,

Well done

Paul

Great work Thorsten,
The "exakta" looks like a monster magnifier :)
Excellent details.
Very well done mf.

Hi,
Your full moon is very good too Thorsten :-) I like the way you WS it. Great details and lightning! What is this zoom you have??? 650-1300 mm!!! But this is a telescope, not a zoom, LOL :-) It must be heavy, I guess you have no choice but to use a trippod :-) Thanks,
Claudine

bonjour thorsten
avec un tel objectif on doit avoir la sensation de pouvoir la toucher!
excellente netteté est les reliefs bien decoupés et marqués.
