Hello at all!
Yesterday I posted the upperside of this Epirrita dilutata.(family Geometridae)
Here it´s the female. This photo shows the underside of it. I wondered about the silver coloured upperside of the moth. The underside has a similar colour.
Yesterday I didn´t know the identity, but through the nice help of some other TN-members and my dad I know it now. The moth has a wingspan about 25 mm.
Yesterday it sat on a dead leaf, today it sits on a tree´s bark.
Epirrita dilutata occurs throughout Europe and eastwards to Transkaukasia. The moth flies mainly in octobre.

Hello Fabian,
Nice to see the underside of dilutata. Your shot is sharp and has a good blurred BG.
TFS, best wishes, Ivan

Hallo Fabian,
this is a really amazing and sharp picture of the underside wing pattern of dilutata. Species of the genus Epirrita cannot be easily if at all identified by their wing patterns. High quality images like this one are very valuable and can be used in specialized moth books. I consulted such books and did not find such a detailed picture as shown here. Colours, light and sharpness are excellent as well as the point of view.
Well done - go on!!
Peter

Hallo Fabian,
sie ist wunderschön - die Flügel sind noch super intakt und glänzen toll.
Excellente Schärfe und ein warmer Hintergrund, tolles Bild, vielen Dank und lieben Gruß

Hi Fabian,
a nice close-up with good POV. The brown colour tones are also very nice. IMO it's a bit soft, perhaps to long shutter speed 1/25 without any support. It's not only the camera-shakings, it's also the movement forward/backward you have to avoid in this close-ups. Otherwise it's a nice picture.
Well done.

Hello Fabian
I had never seen this kind of moth, it almost seem a butterfly. It is a good macro, perfect in focus, lightness, POV...
Thank you for showing it
Best wishes
Maite
