DESCRIPTION:
Male: Bright golden yellow but duller on the back, occipit is chestnut extending in a narrow circle behind the ear coverts to the lower neck; bill black. Unlike most weavers there is no non-breeding plumage. Female: Olivaceous above with dusky streaks; bill horn-colored.

GEOGRAPHICAL RANGE AND HABITAT:
Coastal east Africa from southeastern Kenya to eastern Tanzania. Prefers swampy vegetation such as bulrushes

This is a fine composition, sharpness, POV and DOF and the close-up work is very well done! Good bright and natural colours, background is soothing too!

Hi Biwarup,
The yellow of the Goldes Weaver and the grey of the background give to this picture a very harmonious note. Well seen.

The bright yellow on this bird is indeed very striking, Biswarup.
