|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The picture shows a fresh Autographa gamma-moth (Noctuidae) - unusually late for the year. The specimen was found on November 07. In Germany, the flight period usually ends by the end of September.
A. gamma is a migrating moth which fills up northern populations with more southern specimens.
The species hibernates in the caterpillar stage. Foodplants of the caterpillar are Trifolium, Lamium and Brassica.
Forewing length: about 18 mm.
- insufficient light

Hi Peter.
You have captured a very nice moth. Its perfectly saturated colours and details are wonderful. I like your rich brown colour palette, exact DOF and POV. You managed to present this insect to us very well. TFS and best regards.
Alexei.
Hello Peter
I like these photo very much. Good simple composition. Great color of buckgrond and foreground. The attention is on main object. Maybe you could add a little bit more contrast.
Best wishes
Krzysztof

Hello Peter,
Nice closeup - all in old gold colour. Showing well the beauty of this moth species - not only the colours but also texture and shapes.
Best greetings,
Michal
