Hi Andrea

Nice capture of this black grouse portrait.

Your composition is quite fine and the colours are natural and rich. The details are excellent in the area that matters for a portrait and that is obviously the facial areas. The features are well defined and clear, from the reflective eye, the plumage, and the sharp little beak. The BG is well OOF and complimentary to the subject and you made good use of the available lighting.

This is a very cute capture!
The pose you caught this interesing bird in here is very nice - so fluffed up :))
I love the sharpness here and the clarity of every details on the head of the bird.
The shallow DOF works excellent and the exposure is very well managed.
