What a little beauty Sabine. I love the fact that he is fluffy and soft. You have created a great photo with lovely colour depth, POV and DOF. I am glad he has you as a friend as he only has one leg. It the sweetist photo I have seen for a long time. Really beautiful.

Hi wishnu, the little Bluetit may only have one leg but he seems to cope ok. you have taken a nice picture they do not stay still for long to get a photo .the picture has good colour and the feathers look so soft. i took one like this last week well done

What a brave little creature, Sabine!
It is particularly touching to see a crippled creature of the wild. God only knows what mishap caused that disability.

Hello Sabine,
This is another example showing that birds' legs are not as important as wings. Sad, but this Blue Tit could survive even to produce young.
It's a fine close capture, a little soft but that's OK because I'm soft on birds! Nice comp and Bg.

this is a nice fluffy bird with very nice colours; (Blue and yellow).
The detials are soft but good POV and conmpostion.
It will manage well with one leg, I often see birds like this.

Hallo Sabine,
ein süßes Wattebällchen zeigst Du uns hier. Die Bildkomposition ist sehr gut, auch sehr schöne Farben - ich hätte diesen Piepmatz gerne etwas schärfer dargestellt gesehen. Erstaunlich ist aber, dass so ein Vögelchen mit einem Bein durch den Winter gekommen ist. Darum ein tolles Dokument.

The subject is really cute, Sabine.
I like very much the BG with the contrasting warm tones, and the light achieved.
The image is just a bit soft, but it really woths posting very much, the overall effect is beautiful.

Are you pulling our legs by saying that it only has one leg? :-) LOL

Lots of birds rest on only one leg and then swap over. In fact am I the only person that can see its other claw keeping warm in the centre of its chest?

Mmmm not sure if a genuine mistake or you're having a little joke. LOL

This is indeed a great thing to present us.
I must have missed your first shot about him, but i had a look now (thanks to your link) and i must say that i'm surprised to see he is so well with only one leg.
I actually like this shot better a bit simply because it appears more natural.
Even if the details are a little soft, the capture itself is great, showing very well his "misfortune".
The colors are charming and very well saturated, the pose is lovely and the catchlight in his eye is just terific.
