Mauremys caspica
is a semi-aquatic and little (25 cm) turtle.
It ranges from southwestern former USSR and central Iran to Saudi Arabia and Israel,
northward through Turkey to Bulgaria, and through Cyprus, Crete,and the Ionian Peninsula to former Yugoslavia.
Habitat:
Various bodies of freshwater and may enter brackish water.
Diet:
Mazuri Freshwater Turtle, fish, shrimp.
Sexing:
Males are smaller, have longer thicker tails, and concave plastrons

This photo is from the environmental park Tritsi in Athens,it constitutes one from the last shelters of wild life in the urban environment of Athens.
