keep on walking

The European Magpie or Common Magpie/Pica pica,
in Greek karakaxa,
is a resident breeding bird throughout Europe, much of Asia, and northwest Africa.
It is one of several birds in the crow family named as magpies
and belongs to the Holarctic radiation of "monochrome" magpies.
The European Magpie is 40-51 centimeters in length.
Its head, neck and breast are glossy black with a metallic green and violet sheen,
the belly and scapulars (shoulder feathers) are pure white,
the wings are black glossed with green or purple
and the primaries have white inner webs, conspicuous when the wing is open.
The graduated tail is black, shot with bronze-green and other iridescent colours.
The legs and bill are black.

This photo is from the environmental park Tritsi in Athens,
it constitutes one from the last shelters of wild life in the urban environment of Athens.

Hi Nasos,
wow he is walking very fast. Nice capture and the colours are very lovely in good contrast.
Blurry background is good and the lighting is very nice too in making the subject well seen.

Hi Nasos.
This cute bird is in my wish list long time. You managed to picture it nicely and at so attractive moment. Timing is great and step of the bird is really long (as we can see:). I like wonderful exposure of the image and reproduction of the white and black colour tones. BG is very nice too. TFS and kind regards.
Alexei.

TFS and greetings from London.

No son fáciles de cazar estas Nasos jajaja. En mi zona son una auténtica plaga y no se hace nada para bajar su población.
Buena pose del ave, aunque algo subida de luz.

Saludos: Josep Ignasi.
