[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
it is my first presentation of butterfly,I prefer the birds,
but as said to me my friend Bayram "and these flies, also all in the nature the beings is beautiful"

The Common Blue male/Polyommatus icarus
is a small butterfly in the family Lycaenidae.

from wikipedia:
Male uppersides are an iridescent lilac blue with a thin black border.
Females are brown with a row of red spots along the edges.
They usually have some blue at the base of the wings and,
are mostly blue but always have the red spots.
Undersides have a greyish ground colour in the males
and more brownish in the females.
Both sexes have a row of red spots along the edge of the hindwings
(extending onto the forewings though generally fainter,
particularly in the males where they are sometimes missing altogether).
There are about a dozen black centered white spots on the hind wings,
nine on the forwings.
The white fringe on the outer edge of the wings is not crossed with black lines
as it is in the Chalkhill and Adonis Blues,
an important difference when separating these species, particularly the females.
It is widespread in Europe, North Africa and temperate Asia.
In Greece we meet her in the all territory, during the Spring.

This photo is from the environmental park Tritsi in Athens,
it constitutes one from the last shelters of wild life in the urban environment of Athens.

Hello Nasos,
Not bad for a first presentation of a butterfly! I like your composition and the fine colours. I just regret that you cut the right petal of the flower. This brings some kind of lack of balance.
I wish you a nice day
Kind regards
Anne

Hi Nasos.
Shooting of the butterfly is wonderful pastime. I am sure you will like it especially if you have so nice equipment for these purposes. Very attractive direct POV and excellent sharpness of the front part of the insect. Colours as well as BG are excellent too. I wish you many nice butterfly shots. TFS and kind regards.
Alexei.

Hello Nasos,
Though it would be difficult to ID this from this frontal POV, it is a fine sharp macro and looks like a male P. icarus.
Nice composition with the yellow flower against a fine neutral BG.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing more butterfly shots from you!
Have a good week,
Ivan
