Drinking bees in Kalivianis
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Underneath a dripping water pipe these bees were drinking in the sun. After a few seconds they obviously got annoyed with me as I was approaching them with my Sigma EX 50mm macro lens. It was a hit and run tactic to get a shot I was happy with. No harm was done to either me or the bees in this shot ;-) |

You are braver than me getting close enough for a macro shot on these bees. Good detail and nice warm colurs. The only downside is the large out of focus section.
I had a try with my first workshop as well.

Great capture, perfect framing. IMO f11 would have been better to get them all in focus.
Well done.

Nice idea Mike, netfalls is right it would have been
beter to get the bees all sharp.
Maybe much higher would be a possibility.
But still a good shot........kency.

Hi Mike,
I think I favor the birds, but I love variety. So, I always like to see what others are doing and do a little different from time to time myself. This is very nice. I had an easy opportunity at bees at a friends hive but, you apprear to have really captured some in the wild! Super!
Excellent photo! The bees are quite clear and obviously drinking...
Thanks,
Dave
Hello Mike,
Very nice "backs":).I like the composition but it needs more sharpen.
